Overview
From late June to early September the Indian Ocean monsoon catches the Dhofar mountains and turns them green. It is the single strangest thing in the Gulf calendar and the reason Salalah fills with Gulf families every August.
This is built for that season: the wadis when they are running, the jebel when it is under mist, and the frankincense country inland. Beach time is included but it is not the point — the sea is rough in khareef.
